The status of I-140 application may be important. Out of state tution may depend on the state.
What if I-140 is approved , and the primary applicant (H1) is waiting for the PD to be current, and the dependent wants to go to school. Will this have any impact on the GC process?

I think the job market is going to change a lot- in next few months
There will be plenty of people waiting for last so many years- who will be out to switch
and also who are or were not planning to change- will now start thinking now that they have the opportunity...:)
This will create new job positions as well as make the market very competitive - since there will be many positions
Nevertheless- I dont think its going to make a significant or any chnage in economy - since this will only initiate a job movement and not new job creation
So Ladies and Gentelmen- I think we have very intresting few months in front of us

How does USCIS know about salary ?
They have your previous W-2, taxes or paystubs from your previous applications and extensions (such as H1, Perm, I-140) and they'll ask for your W-2 or tax return if your application is non-concurrent and your I-140 was approved at least one year before. Otherwise they'll ask for your company's tax return or financial statements to check their ability to pay.
485 non-concurrent check list:
1. copy of all of the pages of the Passport (valid for 6 months or longer);
2. Copy of recent I-94, Arrival/Departure Record, front and back side;
3. Copy of all Approval Notices (i.e., H-1, H-4, L-1, L-2 and etc�) from first entry to the U.S. ;
4. Copy of I-20 (s), student visa, if applicable;
5. Copy of Employment Authorization Document (i.e., from practical training while on F-1 status), if applicable;
6. Birth Certificate or One affidavit and School Leaving Certification along with a Non-Availability Certificate or Two Affidavits of Birth along with a Non-Availability Certificate;
7. Petitioner, U.S. Citizen�s Income Tax returns along with W-2�s for the period after I-140 was approved;

I used to work for big4 in IT, they file in EB3 unless you're a Sr. Mgr. I quit and joined another US company just for EB2...hoping for the best.

any Notarized document is as good as oringinals, Please get signed all your certificate copies showing the originals to a Notary Public, I think this should work. If you decide to send originals attach a self paid courier (Fed-ex)(to address yours) USCIS will never send back the document otherwise. I remember previously the H1B visa stamping was in US itself to get the passport back we need to send a self addressed FED-EX cover pre-paid.

Infact, I got good news today. My MTR approved after 3 months. My 485 was denied due to withdrawal of I140 by previous employer (AC21 case).
So I had applied MTR and approved today. Looks like USCIS understood the error and approving all MTR (I didn't hear a single MTR rejection on AC21 case )

There are situations when a h1b transfer or extension is granted but the approval notice does not have a i 94 atttachment that adjusts your extension to stay till the end of your petition date. In such a situation, the benificiary has to go to his home country for stamping and then come back.

Hello IV friends,
My PD is May 2008 and currently i have an approved i-140. I have been wanting to change my job but always been scared of the impact on my GC processing as i heard if i change my job prior to filing for I-485 (which i cannot as the PD is not current), i would have start the process all over again. What are my options here? Thanks in advance.

Any additional thoughts / opinions on getting travel insurance ? My uncle and aunt are coming over for 3 months in the summer. My uncle is 65 with typical BP/ Heart problem issues and aunt has no medical problem. Is ICICI Lombardi the best option ?

If your friend wants to know ask him to join IV , why are you proxying for him > He shud be more worried than you. Pls talk to a professional lawyer on this situation, I am sure none of the folks here can advise on this,

Every body knows that lawer can advise, who ever browisng this forum they are browsing for the cause if any body know it they can answer right.
My friend - infact he his my room mate got an appointment with attorney after two weeks , becuase of the rush until 17th August, even he can able to contact the attorney over the phone.
He has requested me to post and search in the forums to get any possible answer before 17th so that he can re file . but the now that option is closed.
He his very busy with few productions issues at the site and he can not browse few sites from his office- including this immigrationvoice. he is already a member of this forrm, I am just trying to help him.
If you can not help your roomtae - how can you volunteer to unknown Immigration voice members.
Please don't give this kind of suggestions- every body knows. we are here for the cause. If you don't know that is it queep quiet. try to do research try to help if you willing for the cause. Ok.

My Driving license is expiring soon (the day my I94 expires ) ....I have been on H4 till now ....but my husband is on EAD now . When I went to renew my license they asked me to get EAD since my I94 will expire soon . Is that the only way to renew ? Can I file for AP and use that, since I will have to travel to India anyways ?
