I am looking for some feedback how is FexEx based in Memphis for joining on Ac1. How easy or difficult is to get a H-1B sponsorship and a new green card sponsorship etc ? How is their immigration lawyers ? I would also appreciate any other feedback on FedEx as an employer.

I applied for I140 on January and receipt date is Jan 12 2007, I upgraded to PP during last days of June, and the receipt date for it was July 2nd and today i was checking the status, the status is showing a receipt date of July 5th, i called customer service center they say that receipt date is July 5th and this is not a premium case. I understand that they have temporarily suspended PP for 140, but even though my request for upgrade to PP was rejected, the receipt date should be still Jan 12 2007 or will they change it to latest date when request for PP upgrade was denied, anyone facing this issue?

HI,
I am in US and have changed a job recently (changed status from L1 to H1 while in US). I plan to travel to india soon in Feb 2010. My passport is valid till March 2011 and my H1b approval is till 2012. Will this be a problem for me when I go for stamping in India.

It will not be "a problem"; but they will stamp your passport only till the exp date of passport (March 2011) and your I 94 (that you will get upon returning) will also be valid till March 2011 as well.

hey everyone I was trying to download the swift 3d because a pparently it sweems like a cool one but the download trial wasn't accuriable anyway I looged into the net store and checked the full program, it costs about 159$ so I guess I want to download the trial first to give it a try before spending that much amount of money so if any of you know where to donwlaod it just plz post me a message with the title"FOund what you wanted" on your subjectt space.=)

no it wont coz any problem. she needs to have a valid AP and that it. She need not stamp her H1b. I did it the same away.

My wife is planning to travel overseas for 3 months and return on AP. Her status is AoS(dependent) as she quit working on H1 a few months ago. Any experience using AP for such long stays outside the country? Please share your experiences.

Hi,
My friend had done 7th Yr Extension last month. By Mistake she gave dates such that it showed that she was out of USA for 1 year. So the lawyer filed for 3 yr extension and USCIS permitted. Is this rectifiable?

My current status is
I currently work for Company A (on H1B) and Company B is processing my GC (EB2, I140 approved; I485 in process) .
This month, I found a new job with Company C which I have to join on EAD (they don't do H1Bs). Also, in this month's bulletin, my PD became current. I had a few concerns/questions
1) Could the change in employment trigger any flags since I am changing companies and this is a future employment GC case (though its almost 3 years since the I-485 was filed)
2) What do you suggest I do since its so close? I waited all this time just not to complicate things (and remain on H1) but then as soon as have to start work on EAD, the date also becomes current (which I am definitely very happy about ) but now since both these events are so close, I am not sure what to do.
3) What other things are there to keep in mind in case of a future employment case?

Yes you can call them as many times as you want. If the case is serious you can request the Level 1 employees to escalate you to Level 2 and most of the times they will oblige.

Fill 131 form, attach a cover letter and AP - you dont need to include the fee as it is a USCIS mistake. Call USCIS 800 number or take infopass appointment before you refile.

The ridiculous amount of time DOL is spending on the Perm Audits in just incomprehensible. They still approved 1 may be 2 application a day, thats my assumption. Last time I saw they are still processing audited-applications filed in Aug/Sept 2007.
Any word on how what their plan is? They really do have bunch inefficient people working for government!!!

My friend has approved H1B with his previous employer and visa was stamped in 2006 in India. Visa is valid till end of 2009. He never came to US and he does not work for the employer(like Wipro) anymore in India.
Now he wants to come to US with new employer. What are the choices? As I know to transfer H1B to new employer he should be in US and with other documents like paystubs, SSN, etc.
I appreciate your response.
