My friend had nothing but problems with his G5. The computer was constantly in for repairs and would spew out kernal-panics often. It ended up being a bad memory module, which was undetectable even with an extensive hardware test. The only reason he figure it out, is because he had lowned the additional RAM to a mutual friend while his G5 was in the shop for the last time.

Yes, that might be it. It is the only thing that hasn't been replaced. The Apple memory has been replaced but not the third party RAM, I'll exchange for a new ones.

Only the under 30 crowd is excited about this.
But hey, it takes a while to develop common sense.
To the "unhip", this looks like yet another way to bore each other to death.
I must say though, for criminals...things are looking up.
I'm almost 35 and have no issues with this new feature. But i have been using Foursquare for awhile....Most of the non-friends on Facebook live halfway around the world, so I am not really worried about them breaking into my house. Most of the others are Master Masons, and I really don't see one of them doing it. And besides that is what insurance is for...
But hey, it takes a while to develop common sense.

The "Hate America" crowd never fails to amaze me. And I'm not saying that only people who are foreigners are America-haters. We've got a lot of that hate crowd here as both natural and naturalized citizens. Please don't preach to me about the ills of slavery or of religious/social intolerance. I'm quite capable of understanding and recognizing them for what they have been, and what they are.
By the same token, let's not forget that we who are here now, and even those who's ancestry can be traced back to before the revolution, ultimately are not indigenous, ancestrally, to this continent. The hatred and evils you so desperately want to ascribe to America were brought, lock stock and barrel, from Europe. Let's also not forget the role which African tribal leaders played in selling their own people into bondage and slavery. There is a saying: it takes two to tango.
What's funny is how hypocritical and disingenuous some of you folks are. I point out how I don't celebrate certain holidays but respect the holidays because I respect those who celebrate them, and Justin Long's Mac character points out what ills his platform doesn't suffer, and you call us arrogant and hateful people. We're telling the truth (and a rather positive one at that) and all you can do is respond to us with disrespect and vituperative hatred! You accuse us of being intolerant, and yet you practice the very same intolerance you accuse us of!
What's next, you're going to label us all as baby killers, murderers and rapists?
I work in a culturally and theologically diverse workplace, yet you won't see even so much as one second of me trying to push my views (religious or otherwise) on other people, but somehow since I'm a Christian (actually, I'm a Missouri-Synod Lutheran protestant) I'm a scourge upon humanity. Talk about intolerance.

I'd actually pay a little extra to get Lion on a read-only USB drive. I've had to reinstall SL a few times (new computers, testing, new hard drive, etc) and reinstalling (heck, even booting) from optical media is painfully slow.

Are you shooting in HD or SD? You can adjust the audio level in your clips. Make your adjustments, play it back to make sure its where you want it before you burn it. I usually drop it more because its easier to raise the volume on the tv.

...but to add to the humor aspect going on here... I think Jobs wears the same thing every day to express solidarity with all the Apple users that have to settle for fewer choices and options than PC users.

In a roundabout way, perhaps. The companies are almost exclusively at fault for letting the unions take them over and reduce their ability to produce competitive vehicles at competitive prices. Certain consumers are to somewhat to blame for basically falling for it... for not paying attention to build quality, value, and instead simply purchasing something because it was 'made in America.'
