Also if you don't have the apps on your iTunes, I believe that if you are logged into your iTunes account and click the purchase button for an app that you've purchased before, it will pop up a box that says you've already paid for that app and allow you to download it again. (I believe this is true, I'm just not 100% positive on this)

If you are "export to quicktime" than no that sounds extremely long. If you are doing a "quicktime conversion" export it all depends on what codec you are going to. If you are going to h264 it sound spot on.
To speed up my h264 exports I use an Elgato Turbo.264 HD hardware encoder to speed things up.

Well, sort of. The NDAs would hardly stop someone from surreptitiously releasing info about features on a forum. The NDAs certainly haven't stopped screen shots from being posted.... These concealed features are, as has been noted, coming in later builds, probably after they are revealed at MWSF.

Hopefully this will address the issues some users have seen with the Mac Pro apparently not being able to boot beyond a black screen when using the XP disc to boot from. Although I would think that is more an issue of GFX than firmware on the Mac Pro...maybe they're the same thing!
Also, why two different downloads? Surely they could be incorporated into the same file...

We may all be jumping the gun on this one. Apple says that Lion Server is included in the Lion preview. That doesn't mean it will be included in the final release!
Obviously developers need a copy of Lion Server to test their applications. Just like Mac Developer members can get Snow Leopard and Snow Leopard Server downloads, this is just a convenient way to package up both Lion client and server into one download.

I think your missing the point.
Some of us are bored of the X factor and Simon Cowell. This is some fun to put a bit of unpredictability in to something that was almost certainty.
I haven't bought the single, though do like Rage Against the Machine but can understand why they want to do this.
Explain how it's adding unpredictability if we're being told what song to buy, to get to No.1? By my definition that's the complete opposite of unpredictable.
If it's "just some fun" then that's a different story...but it's not. It's about people getting all whinny because they think Simon Cowell is taking over the music industry, and leading us like sheep to make his song's No.1. If you don't like the damn XFactor songs then quite rightly don't buy them! Buy what you want to become No.1. But when when people deliberately try and manipulate the results, thinking it will "teach that man a lesson", it becomes less about the music and more about some stupid battle with Simon Cowell!
The song I want to see at No.1 is the song that I like most at that particular time, not the song that I think will give the best metaphorical finger to Mr. Cowell.

It seems these ads are almost a carbon copy of US versions which are translated into Japanese. In one of the ads, the PC guys says he uses clock with PC while the Mac guy says he likes using iLife and all. Have you noticed the PC guy was using the fuggly looking belt case for iPod?
On the second ad, the Mac and PC guys were talking about why people call Macintosh computers Mac. The PC guy is jealous that Mac sounds like a friend and he wants to get a nick name rather than a mundane name PC. So, a Mac guy said PCs are used for work and suggested the PC guy's nick name would be "Work." The PC guys digged that nick name.

Holy ****ing ****. I had no idea you could do that. I have the iPad app, but i didn't know there was a remote function. I thought it was like the phone app where you could only set your DVR with it.

aren't the Sandy Bridge CPUs better with battery life? isn't the MBA supposed to be an ultra portable, thus making battery life the most important aspect of the notebook? at least this is what's most important for me when considering the MBA, so the boost in CPU performance and battery life will cancel out the downgrade in GPU for me.
